Overview
The south of Puglia is where the landscape becomes something else entirely.
The Adriatic coast here — limestone headlands, sea caves, water genuinely the colour it is in photographs — is dramatic rather than gentle. The interior is flat and ancient and very quiet. The towns are Greek in character, the dialect almost unintelligible to northern Italians, the food fierce and specific.
This active itinerary moves through all of it at a walking pace, covering terrain that rewards the effort. The routes are ours. The accommodation and the meals along the way are chosen with the same care. You bring the legs. We bring the knowledge.
