Four days in the heart of central Puglia — the area south-east of Bari that most visitors rush through on the way somewhere else.
This short break is built around food as the primary experience: learning to cook with seasonal ingredients alongside someone who has been doing it their entire life, eating in places that reflect the honest, abundant character of this particular corner of the region. In between, the landscape delivers: the extraordinary underground world of the Castellana Caves, medieval villages that time has left largely to themselves, and a coastline that alternates between the dramatic and the quietly beautiful.
