Matera to Lecce by bike is a journey between two of the most compelling cities in southern Italy — and everything in between is extraordinary.
You begin in Basilicata, in a city that is among the oldest continuously inhabited places on earth. You end in the baroque south of Puglia, in a city carved from golden stone. The days between cover a landscape of ravines, plateau, trulli country and olive groves — terrain that changes character every fifty kilometres and rewards every pedal of it.
This is a serious cycling itinerary with serious destinations at either end. We build the route, the stages and the accommodation. You cover the ground.
