You will experience an emotional crescendo, staring at the craftsmanship of Baroque churches and palaces.

After a short stop in Conversano, where the "Nuns of Crucifix" preserve a little gem called "Church of St Cosma and Damian", you'll enjoy a nice stroll through the streets and alleys of Martina Franca, that reached its maximum splendor in the 17th century.

You will, then, move towards Massafra, visiting the Clock Tower, the "Madonna della Scala" sanctuary and St Benedict convent before reaching the apex of your tour in Lecce.

The extreme adaptability of that particular stone, used to decorate those monuments, allowed architects and artists to build these unique masterpieces.

During your last day, you will have the chance of admiring Corigliano, old military citadel, Melpignano, siege of the famous event called "La notte della Taranta", Galatina with its Mother Church, superbe example of Baroque and, last but not least, Nardò, that will show you all its baroque beauties such as Salandra Square, the City Hall or St Dominique Church.

Arrival at the airport - Pick up and Transfer to your b&b

Morning: Massafra. Guided tour of the historic centre of the town (the Clock Tower built in XVIII Century, symbol of the city, the Santuario della Madonna della Scala; church of San Benedetto).

Afternoon: Stop at Conversano to visit the Baroque church of SS. Cosma e Damiano.

Martina Franca: guided tour to the "old city" surrounded by stone walls with prominent Baroque gates leading to piazzas and winding, tiny streets. The Piazza di Roma is the largest open space in the old city, with a greenspace in the center of a largely triangular plaza.
